Add context to a topic to make it more specific

If your topic is manga, for example, you can add a time variable, person variable, genre variable, target audience variable, etc. An example of this could be: with a topic like manga/anime, we could choose to discuss the thematic differences between each version of lupin III distinguished by the color of the jacket. Or even more specifically how each Lupin III color behaved towards women in their respective series.

Keeping your research topics specific is how you can fit essays into smaller page length requirements.

A video I watched recently is an essay about perfectionism. Perfectionism in video games and specifically perfectionism in a single aspect of Sekiro's combat system. Then comparing that to perfecting musical works on piano. It also discussed a philosophy book about motorcycle maintenance. I guess thinking about it now, the essay wasn't as specific as maybe I'd like to be. thinking the essay was about dissecting Sekiro's combat system entirely only to then go into talking about the author's personal experience with playing the piano is not exactly what I'm going for xd. (maybe it is?)
