Games are like machines

According to [[@Robert Zubek]], games are a collection of rules or systems that a player can perform actions on - like a machine. This machine then in turn reacts to the players' actions, creating a game.

The elements of a game are [[Mechanics, Gameplay, Player Experience]], and these elements are used as tools for both game design and game analysis.
